Pasty Cobbett: Helllo; I almost always set up programs in a designated folder -- it makes no change. I wouldn't put the software in My documents -- just in view that that is where files are stored. I most commonly use C:/ program_name/ first-rate of luck. Bill
Bibi Tyron: NO. Do not mess with this. The system will install them in the correct place. So any programs in the X86 folder are only 32 bit.
Wilburn Denice: Mike,In most cases, yes... the programs you install are going to go to the folder they're permitted to.The only thing you should be doing regarding the software you download and install is checking to see if they have separate downloads for x64 (64 bit) or x86 (32 bit) and if so, if the x64 is considered stable, choose that one instead. (This allows the program to access the higher addressing ranges and in many cases, offers more efficiency and speed to the app.)Good luck and take care!...Show more
