Garrett Detone: I don't know how much you can do in this situation, but reporting them to be Better Business Bureau seems like a good start.
Ramon Dahlheimer: I'm an attorney and I make more than mechanics - that answers your question - but it still doesn't give male mechanics the right to charge higher prices to women and do unnecessary repairs. I don't cheat my clients and make them file unnecessary lawsuits, because I could be sued for malpractice. Roselee Mczeal: damn lady come to australia and i guarintee this wont happen
Davida Gisriel: Ha! Whoever said to come to Australia was idiotic. It happens more here than anywhere else. I got quoted $235 for a car service and the fiance got quoted $140.. Same mecha! nic. Anyway. As above, report it to the BBB and see if your local current affairs group is interested. Might help.Good luck.
Ardath Templer: i voted with mike BBB is the only place.... what people dont know is why they get in trouble.... knowing about how cars work and what it take to keep them working right is more important than driving them.... so if you was to pick up a book or do some reading here online to learn more about the cars you drive then you will never get riped off again.... sorry they seen you coming 45 bucks would have been high anywhere ... and never go to a dealer for work unless its free or its the only place in town that as the part for your car ... sorry but they are in business to sell not repair the guys there are your and know little about cars..... and alternators are high now days... you could once get a good one for 20 bucks... hey here is a good site to help with the car things there are others the more you read the better you will get..! .. in knowing how not to get taken...Show more
